West Allis Central's Annual RIVER CLEAN-UP

After having to reschedule due to high waters, the West Allis River Clean-Up was up and running! 43 students came out on Saturday morning at locations across West Allis to beautify our natural areas.

Many thanks to the students for taking part, teachers for volunteering their time to check kids in, and the City of West Allis Forestry Department for allowing us to use equipment and supplies for the clean-up!

The West Allis Central Conservation Club has more than a 30-year history of environmental education, recreation, and community service opportunities for West Allis Central High School students.
Today, the CCC remains one of the largest and most active student organizations within the building. CCC is open to all interested students and provides flexibility for involvement in other activities.

Projects & Adventures

The West Allis Central Conservation Club has a variety of opportunities for students to explore the environment. We classify each activity in one of 3 ways: SERVICE, EDUCATIONAL, OR RECREATIONAL. As students find out, no matter which official designation is assigned to a given activity, they always seem to find some "educational" component within everything they take part in, and they realize that even "service" projects turn out to be fun, giving them some "recreational" value. So, essentially, all activities could be referred to as "ADVENTURES!"

Calendar of Events

There are a multitude of opportunities that are scheduled throughout the year. The calendar is always TENTATIVE, but can give you an idea about what is coming up so that you can plan your schedule more efficiently if you would like to attend some of our meetings, community service projects, educational events, and recreational adventures. Get Involved

The CCC is for West Allis Central students of ALL ages! Sign up online, and/or stop after school at one of our meetings to see if the Conservation Club might be for you. The CCC can benefit the community, school, and YOU! It's a great chance to get into the outdoors and to make a difference. The more you're there, the better ... don't worry - we keep track of your involvement and reward you for your efforts! As we always say, "be there if you care!"
